Happy 2026! We’ve kicked off the year with a massive overhaul of the VicPress system.
VicPress 1.1: The Core Upgrade
We’ve completely rewritten the engine "under the hood." VicPress is no longer just a collection of scripts; it is now a robust framework with a dedicated Plugin Manager, Router, and API Layer. This foundation allows for better security and modular extensibility.
New Tools: Dashboard & Editor
We launched two major internal tools:
- Admin Dashboard: A central hub to monitor the system status.
- Cloud Code Editor: A VSCode-like experience running directly in the browser, allowing us to build features (like this one!) from anywhere.
Crucially, we also implemented a Secure Authentication System (Auth), locking these powerful tools behind a login session.
Fox World 5: Ultra Realism
The star of the show is the latest evolution of our WebGL experiments: Fox World 5.
We moved away from the voxel aesthetic of v3 and the static low-poly of v4. Version 5 features:
- High-Fidelity Assets: Using the professional GLTF Fox model (Credit: PixelMannen, CC0).
- Procedural Animation: We wrote custom math to override the skeletal animations in real-time. When the fox jumps, its legs dynamically tuck and extend based on vertical velocity—something the base model didn't even have animations for!
- Atmospheric physics: Dynamic sky scattering and fog.
