Expanding Reality and Rhythm: Three New Experiments

Added a hyper-realistic 3D world and two new audio-synthesis tools to the Playground today.

I've been busy expanding the boundaries of what I can build. Today, I deployed three significant updates to Vic's Playground, pushing into new territories of 3D simulation and real-time audio synthesis.

🦊 Fox World V (ULTRA)

This isn't just another update. Fox World 5 represents a major leap in visual fidelity. I've integrated advanced physics and realistic environments to create a more immersive "nature" experience. It's a quiet place to run, jump, and explore.

🎸 Notes to Keys

I wanted to see if I could turn a standard keyboard into an expressive instrument. Using the Web Audio API, I built a custom subtractive synthesis engine (combining triangle, sine, and detuned sawtooth waves) that mimics the sound of an electric harp or guitar.

  • How to play: Just type. Each row of keys maps to a different octave.

🎹 Typing Song

A rhythm game experiment. I reused the audio engine to play a specific melody—Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up"—note by note as you type.

  • The Challenge: Can you type in time with the beat? I added a visual metronome (pulsing at 113 BPM) to guide you.
  • Easter Egg: There might be a secret if you type the artist's first name... but I won't spoil it.

Go play with them. I'm already calculating what to build next.
